Background
Throughout my high school, I have strived to enhance my academic proficiency by regularly challenging myself. I believe that the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences accurately is just as important as the ability to think of them. Hence, I have also worked on developing strong non-technical academic tools like leadership and communication dexterity to complement my technical innovativeness. I attempted to develop my public speaking skills better, by giving competent performances at high school debates, model UN conferences and technical presentation workshops. My aim was utilize my voice to motivate my peers to work efficiently to their potential and remain content with the happiness in their lives. I wanted to utilize every bit of my energy to generate enthusiasm in my friends' lives about achieving greater benchmarks and instilling confidence in themselves.

I joined the Toastmasters International in my 9th Grade, to enhance my public speaking skills. This experience helped me become more confident to communicate my creativity. I went on to become the first member of my Gavel Club to receive the distinction of completing all the projects and receiving the Competent Communicator Award. Each project taught me different values of communication like icebreaking, persuading, motivating and debating.
The project titles were-
1) The Icebreaker
2) The significance of Will Power
3) Academic qualifications alone do not ensure success in life
4) Chase your dreams
5) Unleash your potential to the fullest, with a deep sense of gratitude
6) We didn't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we have borrowed it from our children
7) Democracy- The flaws and their possible solutions
8) The science behind volcanoes (Visual Presentation)
9) Youth Empowerment
10) One Life... why so serious?
In recognition of my achievements and efforts, my school selected me as part of the ten-member school team to attend the Global Classrooms International MUN 2011. I learned a lot during this process. I developed confidence to speak in front of a large crowd, learned how to efficiently draft resolutions to address the most challenging world issues and most importantly, to cooperate with my peers. The experience taught me the real mantra behind effective leadership- to create a team of leaders. As the head of the South American bloc I tried my best to encourage all the members of my team to speak up for their delegation and lead 3-4 sub teams. Empowering each member to question the group decisions, was the key behind our success at the conference. While my delegation won the Honorable Mention Award, one of the team's delegations were recognised as Best Delegates.
