Some of my hobbies . . .
My interests in high school have been slightly varied as my hobbies range from practicing melodies on an acoustic guitar and enjoying freestyle dance to playing cricket and soccer.
Cricket Training
Right arm, medium paced bowler.
Left hand, middle order batsman.
I come from a country where cricket is much more than just a sport. In my country, India, we celebrate the sport as a festival and the players as personal idols. I was introduced to the sport much before I could do arithmetic. Over time I got deeply attracted to the sport and practised different bowling styles with variations in pace. Starting as a right arm spin bowler I modified my action to duplicate pace bowlers.
As my interest deepened over time, I tried attaining professional advice on my game. Therefore, in the summer of 2010 when I visited India I joined the coaching camp organized by Y.B. sports academy and Genius sports academy in Rajkot, Gujarat.
Yeah I love dancing...
I developed a close friendship with my coach at the camp.
When questioned, my coach found my batting more attractive than bowling. He commented that my batting off-side was strong and that I needed to improve my pace of bowling. We had a daily schedule that commenced with a 2km run as warm-up, catching and diving practice, supervised bowling and later individual batting practice in the nets. The day’s schedule concluded with a session on game strategies. My game improved over time as training with better players helped me to learn more about the sport.
The next year (2011) I revisited the camp and trained with the same coach. Gradually I felt the exercises less stressful and tried to mould my playing style to achieve best performance. This training helped me in school cricket team tryouts at the end of the year. I got selected in school team but could feature for only a few matches as final examinations were around the corner. I still cherish the sport and enthusiastically support the Indian national cricket team.

When my family shifted to Qatar, my sporting interests were inclined towards the beautiful game: soccer.
I started playing the sport as a centre back but later transformed as a full back. This change was mainly because I enjoyed initiating supporting runs and counterattacks. Some of my batch mates and I formed an amateur soccer team called: Stallionz F.C. Our primary intension was relaxation and entertainment
not competition. Hence, we didn’t register the team in any soccer leagues or tournaments. We still play matches with local Arabs, Nepali domestic helpers and fellow school mates…
Right handed acoustic guitarist
Watching lead guitarists of my favourite bands and Eric Clapton magic on the internet, I always aspired to play with guitar strings and experience the musical art. To follow those dreams I joined Kalabhavan, Qatar to learn a little about guitar play. After about a year as I felt confident, I decided to challenge myself through RGT (Registry of Guitar Tutors) guitar examinations organised by London College of Music at International Academy for Intercultural Development, Doha, Qatar. I have savoured the melodious instrument for about 3 years now and have qualified 2 examinations with distinctions...

I used to play TT seriously in my primary school. I had even clinched the 3rd position in school cluster meet in 2004. However, as I shifted to playing lawn tennis in 7th grade, TT reduced to just a mode of entertainment. My fondness for the game was renewed during the summer program at CMUQ in 2012, when I grabbed any opportunity to play a match with my friends in free time.
