University Interactions

Since my 10th grade, I have been blessed with opportunities provided by Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar to enhance my knowledge of computer science, robotics and college routine. I have been given a valuable insight into the wonderful world of programming and robotics, through the outreach events I attended at the university. These outreach programs for high school students have helped me develop an understanding about college majors and have bolstered my penchant for computer sciences and engineering.
These are some CMUQ outreach events I attended during my high school . . .

My first interaction with CMUQ was through the information systems competition called Ibtikar 2011. “Ibtikar is a program aimed at encouraging high-school students to design innovative solutions to address challenges faced by society using an information technology based approach.”

In the next year, I was selected for the Summer College Preview Program 2012 at CMUQ. This outreach program helped me realise my college potential through a simulation of rigorous university routine and courses.

In February of 2013, I attended the CS4 Qatar event at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. CS4Q is a series of workshops organised by the Computer Science Department of the university for aspiring high school students. The workshop was an enchanting journey through the world of cryptography and robotics.

I had my best experience with robotics in March of the same year when I attended BOTBALL 2013 at Carnegie Mellon Qatar. I felt great heading my BOTBALL team consisting of nine other high school friends.
